Bleedingriskwithclopidogrelandpercutaneousendoscopicgastrostomy
摘要: AIMTocomparebleedingwithin48hinpatientsundergoingpercutaneousendoscopicgastrostomy(PEG)withorwithoutclopidogrel.METHODSAfterinstitutionalreviewboardapproval,aretrospectivestudyinvolvingasinglecenterwasconductedonadultpatientshavingPEG(1/08-1/14).Patientsweredividedintotwogroups:Clopidogrelgroupconsistingofthosepatientstakingclopidogrelwithin5dofPEGandthenon-clopidogrelgroupincludingthosepatientsnottakingclopidogrelwithin5dofthePEG.RESULTSThreehundredandnineteenPEGpatientswerefound.Onehundredandsixty-eightmalesand151femaleswithmeanbodymassindex28.47±9.75kg/m2andmeanage65.03±16.11yearswereidentified.ThirtythreepatientswereonclopidogrelpriortoPEGwith286patientsnotonclopidogrel.Nopatientsineithergroupdevelopedhematochezia,melena,orhematemesiswithin48hofpercutaneousendoscopicgastrostomy(PEG).Nostatisticaldifferenceswereobservedbetweenthetwogroupswith48hforhemoglobindecreaseof>2g/dL(2vs5patients;P=0.16),bloodtransfusions(2vs7patients;P=0.24),andrepeatendoscopyforpossiblegastrointestinalbleeding(nopatientsineithergroup).CONCLUSIONBasedontheresults,nosignificantpost-procedurebleedingwasobservedinpatientsundergoingPEGwithrecentuseofclopidogrel. ...
