摘要： AIM:Todetermineparentalknowledgeaboutacuteotitismedia(AOM)anditsantibiotictherapy,antibioticresistanceandthewillingnesstocomplywiththewatchfulwaiting(WW)approachinprimarycaresettingsinsouthernIsrael.METHODS:Thestudywasconductedin3primarycareclinicsandthepediatricemergencyroomofSorokaUniversityMedicalCenter.Questionnaires(20questionsoneducationbackground,previousAOMexperience,knowledgeonantimicrobialresistanceandattitudevstheWWapproach)werefilledby600parents(150ateachcenters)ofchildren<6yearsofage.RESULTS:Mothersrepresented69%ofparents;2%hadaneducationof<10schoolyears,46%hadhigh-schooleducationand17%hadanacademicdegree.69%parentsreportedpreviousexperiencewithAOMand56%thoughtthatantibioticsrepresenttheonlytreatmentforAOM.Knowledgeonbacterialresistancetoantibioticswasreportedby57%oftheparents;86%parentswerewillingtoaccept/probablyaccepttheWWapproachfortheirchildren.LogisticregressionanalysisrevealedasignificantassociationbetweenparentaleducationandknowledgeaboutbacterialresistancetoantibioticsandthatpreviousexperiencewithAOMwassignificantlyassociatedwithreluctancetoaccepttheWWapproach.MoreparentswithknowledgeonbacterialresistancewerewillingtoaccepttheWWapproachcomparedwithparentswithoutsuchknowledge.NocorrelationwasfoundbetweentheeducationlevelandwillingnesstoaccepttheWWapproach.CONCLUSION:AsignificantcorrelationwasfoundbetweenpreviousparentaleducationandexperiencewithAOMandtheknowledgeaboutantibioticuse,bacterialresistanceandacceptanceoftheWWapproach. ... （共8頁）
